Jefferson C-123 Board discusses ACT scores and insurance

The Jefferson C-123 Board of Education met in regular session earlier this week.

Superintendent Tim Jermain says insurance was renewed and ACT scores were reviewed.

"One thing our Board did action on is music, our liability insurance is due to be renewed.  It's actually to be paid in December but our Board made a motion to renew that.  The price is similar to last year's school liability insurance for property and our buses.  We did review some prior years' ACT data just to see how our students stack up against the state averages.  We were above the state average in English, mathematics, science, and overall composite.  We were slightly below the state average in Reading.  But overall, our ACT scores continue to trend in the right direction."

The Jefferson Board of Education will meet again December 18th at 7:30.
